BOAT CHECK & TAKE OFF INSTRUCTIONS
CHAMPIONSHIP – DAY ONE – DECEMBER 9, 2023
TAKE OFF WILL BE @ 7:00 or at Director’s discretion.

IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, we could NOT get locks opened. The SFWMD is allowing 16 boats at a time as long as we do not have any issues. FWC will be on site to monitor. Stage close to the locks on the east side of Roland’s canal to allow boat traffic coming from the ramp to stage in canal or basin. At 5:30am sharp, locks will go in operation, so you need to be READY and CAREFUL to make this run as smooth as possible. If you are going too fast or damage a boat, they will not allow as many boats. We should be able to open the locks in 10-12 minute intervals. Please be courteous in the locks and to lock tenders.

• Boat check @5:30am (NEW LOCATION) Outside Dock in Rim Ditch – Passenger side to dock.

• CHECK IN: Same dock as boat check.

• Exemptions will be inside boat # floaties given to you at boat check.

• Please stage on the outside of the locks as we will call out boat numbers from there.

• All boats must go thru boat check for catch to count or you will be disqualified.
• Scales open @ 2:00 pm

• Weigh-in starts @ 3:00 pm and we will handle fish release for this event.
